Our caretaker Sergio took the photos yesterday of the lagoon in La Manzanilla. Looks like there's no driving now between the village and our house....

Mark S has a kayak if you need a ferry. He might even skipper the craft for you all since the ocean is Fubar for swimming, Mark must be bored by now?

The kayak would just go straight into the ocean, where it would be creamed by the waves. The swinging bridge is the only option. But, thanks for volunteering me (not).
I have gone swimming in that mess. Went down yesterday, but wimped out. Will see what it's like this morning.
Looking forward to seeing you and Kathy, again.

The Lagoon, too strong to cross today; I took the walking bridge over. Got some little blackie/brownie fish back in the water, that had been tossed on the bank in the river's rush to the sea. Hundreds clung to the slippery bank trying to buck the swift current to get back home again! Fishermen out there too. Report from the front!
