I had not seen this video, of La Manzanillo ejido members and others capturing Pancho the crocodile in 2011. I believe he is still around in our lagoon, only bigger, true?

Cool video, whoever shot it did a good job of keeping the camera still. Love the drumbeat
in the background for effect.

Pancho (4.0 meters) is in the reserve (not free). The green building just north of where you cross
the lagoon. Eighth photo down on this page

Down a bit further is a photo of Toby 4.3 meters, bigger than Pancho! I never heard of him,
probably cause he doesn't eat as many dogs as Pancho did.

Other Lagoon info I found while looking for the above photo

Pancho the crocodile and Pepe

Lyle and I were in the green building this Spring and Pepe was IN the pen with Pancho! Pancho was hissing at us, probably because I was so agitated seeing Pepe in the pin! Look in the back corner of the photo and you'll see him.

Wow, great shot June. I don't know how comfortable I would feel being that
close to a 4 meter hissing crocodille, especially after watching this video
I found today. Those things can move quick when they want to.

My understanding is that 'Pancho' was discovered, while still at Boca, to be female and her name was affectionately changed to Pancha . . . any truth to that?
Sad to see her confined to that tiny pen for, what is it now, perhaps 3 years, maybe 2?
Is she ever put out into the lagoon?

Panchita, as she was known to the Mexicans, was at Boca and she used to sit on the sand with her jaws wide open. I missed not seeing her there and then felt sad seeing her cooped up in her new home.
