Hi Lupita,

I will leave the cam on all the time once I find a permanent home for it. As it
is now I jut put it on this big stump (courtesy of hurricane Jova a few years ago)
during the day and take it to the beach bar at sunset. I take it in at night as it is not
mounted to anything. I am going to try and get it ready so I can leave it out for the
upcoming storm.

During the day the cam is directed straight West, that is Tenacatita you see on the horizon.

The cam is in the Mickey Mouse stage, I have to unplug the cam when I need to
use that USB port on my computer for other things like printing or getting a
photo off my cell phone etc. Definitely the good ole days.

Glad you are enjoying.....

Here is the current home of the cam (red arrow) it is just balanced there
and sometimes changes positions when windy etc.

Love the photos in this thread. Sounds like you need a powered USB hub so you can have everything plugged in at the same time! Will see what I can do about bringing one down in December!

The lightning strikes this evening are great to watch. Is that a fire I see off to the right on the beach? Almost counting the days until my return.

Hi Rob,

The new cam is Ip, it plugs directly into the router, it will be faster and
more clear, if I can just get through the process of setting it up. I
happened to buy one that is infamous in the amount of info you have to know
to set it up I am taking it in bites, it is all about energy and I
guess there is some amount of giving a shit about anything in there as well.

I am pretty sure that what you thought was a fire was either Blue Bay or Punta
Serena.

Hi Daniel

I presume you meant to write "taking it in bytes"!! Setting up IP addresses can sometimes be a pain in the *#@ depending on the router and the webcam requirements. I am sure you will have it all figured out soon. If not, I am sure we can discuss it over Sunset T soon enough. Too bad you didn't have a nice bonfire!

Enjoyed the light show tonight and the various day views I have seen in recent days. Am looking forward to being at the real event.

The off-line test pattern is the same as what we saw on our local TV station in Calgary in the sixties! Fun to see it again.

Keep up the great sharing of info.

I cannot get the "fill screen" feature to work. I have tried several times with no luck.

Hi Jack,

That feature is not working, but you can hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard
and then press the + sign, that will make it bigger.

Or you can go to the top of the browser, click on view / zoom / zoom in.

If need be you can use the scroll bars (bottom and right side) to position the
viewing area where you want.
