There were lots of kids playing on the beach in front of the office last evening, they know the cam is working and are loving being on La Manzanilla live!
Also last evning the web cam started screwing up. This morning the same. For now the cam is on my desk so you get a little different view. I should have it back at its home on the stump later today.

And such a nice, though slightly tilted view it is. Looks like a barricaded beachside!

Looks like we have an exciting new view, but I am missing the wave action. It is a nice wood grain shot! Web cam on the wander?! I am sure it will be back to normal soon, right Daniel?

How do I access the WebCam? Didn't find it on the La Manzanilla site. Thanks. I do enjoy and appreciate it. Hope you can keep your head above water this week(feet too).

I am computer challenged, so please be kind and gentle. I use an iPad and have not been able to view the webcam. Is there some magical app I need to download to enable me to view this? Looking forward to your help. All the best! Gracias

Hi Donna,
Kind and gentle aren't my strong points but I will try
You can't get the current cam on your iPad as it uses a program called Flash, which iPad's can't play. You can see the cam on a regular computer though.
I have another cam I am getting set up (Mexico time) which you will be able to see on your iPad. So what you need is for me to get off my lazy butt and get it working.

I did a bit of checking, the Photon browser will play flash on the ipad and got good reviews. I sent Judy an email asking her if she wants to try it, since she is the most iPad savy person I happen to know. You can wait for her report or try it yourself.

Thanks very much Daniel. I will try it but will most likely have to have my 'tech' person check it out. Sadly I am not like Judy. Guess we all can't be the same eh? probably a very good thing! cheers....Dee

No, it wasn't Black Dog, it was Jason's dog Tonya.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the evening. I went out to the beach (no beach bar ) and put the cam on a chair and shared what was happening. It started to rain a bit so I left the cam on the chair and went under Loka's Palapa with the other folk.
We drank beer, listened to music, watched the kids surf and Mike and Ray catch fish.
Earlier today some of the surfer kids came by and asked me where the videos were? They were hoping to see some videos of them surfing last evening. I told them that the cam was only live and not recorded. They seemed ok with that. I thought about it after they left and later in the evening when the cam was sharing "my" world. It only seems to give it more value, its going out to whomever cares to watch and then it only a memory. I like that.
A group of locals and wanabe locals (usns) sat and enjoyed the evening. The peace cam is sharing part of the abundance that motivated me to set it up but it feels like if I were going to really realate the experience I would have to have it strapped to my forehead. Life is so good, you who live here yearly know, soo sweet!
Later the guy who has played music on the beach for years came by and played us some live music.
I am sure most of you remember him and the fact that he had a seriously infected leg. Well, he lost that leg and is on crutches now, but is still the wonderful soul that he has always been.
Here are a few photos I found on my phone while getting the ones above
My b i t c h
Strange sunset
One evening I sat there and watched this fly drink a couple drops of beer that were in the bottle cap, he didn't fly away for quite sometime.
Some of the cables that lead to the web cam. I have 100 feet.
My pitiful method of holding the ocean back. It is only with the aid of that Saints that it works.
The home of the cam after a big wave came in.
The Universe making art for me.

Hi Deb,
No, sadly not much Frisbee. You will see the beach bar sunset folk when they come here, old friends and new and a probably a whole new chapter in the ways and means of La Manzanilla live. On the privacy thing, I have listened to others and considered their opinions but I am pretty sure that issue is going to be overlooked. If someone has an issue with privacy then we will do our best to accomadate them, until then its not an issue that needs my concern. Imagine the effect on most of the video you see if persons were allowed to stop anyone from filming publicly.

Wow That was fun! I came indoors at 7:40 your time and turned on the beach cam. The sun was just starting it's trip behind the clouds. I was able to watch the entire sunset. It's just a hint of gold left now, at 8:22. It's 6;22 here at the 50th parallel, and the difference in latitude (19-50 degrees) and the time difference (2 hours) our sunsets are nearly the same (time?) Ours is just about to start. Gotta go! Thanks Daniel!!

de nakeda (de nada)
I really like sharing what is happening here, its (it's) like a cup running over that you just need to share. Like giving is how you know you have, or something like that.
Click play all, it will play in order of date added. The best is to put it on random. I have not played a CD in years, Grooveshark is the only music I listen to. Put your favorite artist in the search box you will hear songs you never knew they did. Use Genres to get random music of a certain type. Take some time to get to know this interface, pay the $3 a month and create an account (you don't have to). You can make it dance and it will make you dance
Edit #2, I just tried the link above and it started with Mozart! That is on my favorites but not what I was trying to lead you to. I wanted it to play by date added and I don't see that in the drop down menu. I guess you will have to figure it out for yourself. Or better still make your own play list! I may find time to do more on getting you to what I wanted but it will have to be some other day, and we know what that means around here...
Yes, that is it, click date added till John Mayer is on the top then click play all....got it! You can also sort by artist, song or album (artist is best). To get random click the little cross arrow thing next to the speaker (volume) or don't. You are now in part of my randomly preferential mind. Danger The arrow pointing to the right of the II lets you skip that song, use it a lot. Welcome to Grooveshark!
