Is anyone else frustrated with lack of bandwidth coming in to your home? You can check download and upload speed many ways. Telmex uses 192.168.1.254 (in the address bar). User name:TELMEX Password: (your wep key). It will tell you your speed as well as other things. I've called 3 times (asking to speak English- every one of the agents were friendly and helpful). I have been getting 2MB and have been paying for 5MB. If anyone wants higher band width, you could call them: 01-800-123-2222. A squeaky wheel gets the grease!

Once in you have to navigate to Mantenimiento then click diagnostico

Descendente Velocidad (kbps) will give you the download speed in kbps

Ascendente Velocidad (kbps) will give you the upload speed in kbps

to change kbps to Megabytes (MB) (the number they use on your contract) click below

http://www.unitconversion.org/data-storage/kilobytes-to-megabytes-conversion.html

OR just go to www.speedtest.net and run a speed test.

I thought that Felipe was starting a service for the internet with three new antennas!
We have the same problem at home. You pay for high speed and get less but what a lot of internet servers do not tell you is that after you use so much high speed time it goes back to the lower speed. It is a usage clause but I do not know if they have that yet in Mexico.

This was our speed at 7:40 this morning using Witopia and restarting my mac several times to get a better connection. It's still a "D" rating.
Felipe are you getting better rates?

Julie, we wound up having to get a booster so that we could switch to a Roku box for tv service. We tested at 3.05, and it wasn't enough, but with the little booster , we're fine. If Felipe doesn't have them for sale, I'll bet he can get them!
