It seems that 96E is hanging on offshore - it was predicted to be further north by now. I posted info on it under the photo of storm clouds and a great sunset yesterday or the day before.

I talked to Bret just before he left, he said he would not know how much
rain we got until he got back. I hope that gauge goes up to 80 inches, cause
that is about how much we have gotten since he left!

That was a hell of a lot of rain last night!

Oh, Hello Daniel H, me again........

I was just sniffing in archives, trying to catch up with the LaM msg.board, and saw your comments, re: the horrid nite Camie and I arr'd and were locked out in the pouring. All nite, mean little storms inside the big torrents strafed that house, doors slammed, pipes gaveway, ceilings dripped, mildew wept, water flowed and because of a drain clog, one bathroom flooded to the knee-caps...

As a survivor, I'd like to know what the rain guage said for that memorable weather event...

Do you know?

Peaches

Bret, our weather person is away, when he comes back he should be able to
give us some stats, hopefully.

Hello from your missing weather guy! Sorry I've been out of touch. It's been a really busy time up here in chilly Arizona: internet problems, visiting all the relatives and friends, and now an illness in the family. Hopefully I'll be back there by Dec 1st.

I thought the storm season was fairly nailed down before I left, but apparently it had a lot of spunk left in it.

That's a wild weather story, Peaches! Yes, I'll be able to read out the memory of my rain gauge when I get back. The rainfall amounts are stored by week for the last 7 weeks, so I won't be able to separate one day's rain from the next.

It sounds like 2014 could end up being the wettest year in our 10 years of weather records for La Manzanilla! See you soon...

Yes Bret, we hold you responsible for the unplanned torrent that rained down on us after you conveniently went "off line". It all seems pretty suspicious to the conspiracy theorists.

It was wild and wooly here, and the ground became totally saturated after a series of steady, drenching rainstorms.

Global weirding?

I agree, Lisa

Bret B did an yeoman's job of keeping the tropical depressions away from us. He goes to Arizona and we get hammered.

A man that commits to a task must maintain.
