... well actually, not so desperate, but would love to try dancing
West Coast Swing again, if anyone knows how, a lead, that is. I used to
be able to do the basic steps and a few easy steps. It would be perfect
for the blues that the Lounge Lizards play on Friday nights at Palapa

My husband probably can teach that, Carol. He used to teach ballroom dancing and did one season in La Manz. When he reads this, he should respond. (He's asleep right now.)

II would love to start a La Manzanilla Swing Dance Club. Maybe we can play tunes, and learn and practice various kinds of swing dance once a week at Casa Luz?

They do teach East Coast, ie, jive, so maybe...

This is exciting. I love to swing dance! My favorites are east coast and lindy hop. i've got tons of great music and good speakers.

Wow! That's a lot of interest! 3 decades ago I used to teach Ballroom and Latin dancing. The Jive was one of them. I would be willing to start a class this winter. Vicki and I arrive in town on the 29th of November. We can organize it then.
