Alison and I would appreciate a ride to Miquel Hidalgo on Friday for Pedro's mother's funeral. . We could split a cab with someone if necessary. Thanks

Isn't Miguel Hidalgo divided into two parts (nuevo y viejo)? I anyone can say which part and when, it would be appreciated.

I asked down at Pedro's and Jesse said that there would be a gathering all day. So , I would guess early afternoon would be a good time to pay respects. I don't remember the way enough to give clear directions, but you go through Nuevo Miguel Hidalgo, and through Viejo Miguel Hidalgo and Pedro's father's farm is near the cemetery. Sorry, that's all I know for now.

There is a memorial set up at the restaurant. I'm sure candles and or flowers would be appreciated by Pedro. A nice way to share for all who can't make it to the memorial?

Pedro's mom is being buried this afternoon in Miguel Hildago Viejo. We are taking off at 12:30. Anyone that wants to go can convoy with us. I suggest meeting at Deme's ferretaria, the yellow building on the main drag into town at that time.

Pedro just called and advised me that there will be a mass at the church on the jardin at 11:30, and at its conclusion all will proceed to the cemetery at Miguel Hildalgo Viejo.

for those interested, the mass will be held at Pedro's Restaurant at 11:30 this morning, NOT in from of the church.

Thanks, Valerie, for correcting my info as to the location of the mass. Perchance, I went down to Pedro's for other reasons, and was glad I didn't miss the service (although I'm not a Catholic nor very adept at Espanol).
I was happy to see several gringos at the cemetery.
After last night's belario and the mass and burial, I'm calling it quits for the day.
