cell phone usage

Think I know the answer...but things may have changed. We are a family of 4 coming in December. It would be great if we could use the text or Face time function of our Iphones for communications with each other or in the States. We use Verizon. Any chance to be able to use these cell phones in La Manzanilla?

yes, if they are unlocked, just get a sim card from any celmex outlet, buy some time and you are good to go. The phone has to be unlocked by your present carrier.

When you have a wireless connection, you can communicate from iPhone to iPhone by texting or FaceTime. I do this all the time with my kids in the US. It doesn't work with android though. I leave my phone on airplane mode to avoid big charges and just connect the WiFi.
