Today's junior team from La Manzanilla played Barra de Navidad here at the campo de fútbol.. It was an exciting game, with a few nasty injuries, but La Manzanilla won!
They now proceed to the next step in the tournament, on their way to the finals in Cihuatlan.
Here's a photo of the game with La Manz in the green. Jorge, one of the local scholarship students, is horizontal after launching a header, flanked by Pablo and Amador. On the far left is the great goaltender 'Lucho' in the Orange jersey.
A very entertaining way to spend an afternoon- these kids go all out!

Someone asked what it was like over at the soccer field. Very green and grassy actually, but the road is nasty.
