I'm leaving La Manzanilla on Thursday after 2 months of wandering among all of you wonderful people. In that time, I've written numbers of poems about the beach, birds, sea turtles, a blue-footed booby I found on the beach and also the people. A friend read this poem I wrote today and suggested I post it as a good-bye to you all. Along with it, I want to thank Daniel for all he did to make my visit better, to all who came with aid when I murdered my Mac (Carol,Liza and Linda), to those who created the wonderful New Years celebration on the beach, to Mary who gave a stranger a place to go for Xmas, to the writers' group that gave me so many hours of wonderful listening as well as a reason to write. For all of the people mentioned and others I haven't mentioned by name, here is a poem of leaving. I've already rented Casa Gaviotas for next year.
