sick white dog

I have received several calls regarding a sick white dog in front of Yolanda's /purple house/Chona's Tienda. A week and a half ago he was taken to Rosio's (the Vet) and is being treated for what she thinks is Distemper ( moquillo in Spanish) . A young woman from California paid for the medicine. The chances of him surviving is very slim, but dogs can survive, but usually with debilitating brain damage. Chona's other dogs have been vaccinated for distemper, so they are in no danger. Just another sad reminder to have you dogs vaccinated for Distemper , Parvo, and anything else your Vet can give them before you bring them to Mexico. Heartworm and tick/flea preventative is also extremely important. Heartworm is carried by mosquitos and tick and fleas both carry terrible disease here.
