Rainy Art Walk?

Sorry for the bad news all you Art Walkers (and Art Show-ers): There is a decent chance of rain today. It's sprinkling right now, in case anyone needs to go outside and cover anything.

The usual GOES-West IR satellite loop has been broken since yesterday (for me at least.) Here is a substitute loop (you can zoom in on Mexico by clicking the "zoom" button, then click repeatedly on Mexico): http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/tpac/flash-avn.html

The latest TRMM satellite picture (from 6-7 hours ago) shows significant showers well offshore that correspond with the heaviest colors on the GOES loop: http://trmm.gsfc.nasa.gov/trmm_rain/americas/americas_3hrly_zoom.gif

None of my other forecasting sites predicted this rain. I can't say how much to expect or exactly when. Hopefully it won't add up to much. I'll try to let you know whenever the next TRMM data update is posted.
