Online Auction Underway—Bid now to support education!

The online auction opened on February 1st and will run through February 15th. Items on line include original art, stays at hotels, services and more! Every couple of days we will add new items to the online auction. It’s easy---just go to: http://lacatalinafoundation.com/online-auction/ Click on the category of items you would like to view and place your promised bid amount under the items of your choice. On February 15th, at 9:59pm (our time in La Manzanilla) the auction closes and the person with the highest bid on each item will be notified that they won the item. ALSO, MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR the 11th annual “A Night under the Stars” auction and party in La Manzanilla’s plaza. It is scheduled f or Saturday, Feb. 21st from 6pm-9:30pm. Lots of surprises are underway for “A Night under the Stars” auction and party, including an expanded silent auction with more bikes, fun entertainment, folkloric dancers and more! Donations are being accepted now for new and used items to be included in both the online auction and “A Night under the Stars” auction & party. Electronic gadgets, appliances and used working laptops are popular items for the locals to bid on. We are requesting that donated items are dropped off prior to the event, so volunteers have time to price them. The drop off day will be this Tuesday, Feb. 10th from 10am-12pm in the garage of Casa Colibri, which is located on the street level between the La Manzanilla Art Gallery and La Catalina School. If you miss the drop off day and have something to donate, you can drop it off in La Catalina School office M-F between 11am-2pm. The proceeds from these events go to support: 25%-donations to La Manzanilla public schools 25%-programs at La Catalina Foundation 50%-construction of La Catalina Foundation’s center Thanks for your participation!
