I think it is a stellar idea and frankly I have never understood the event which I call the shortest art walk convering the longest distance…. I have many friends from Manzanillo that wouldn't waste their time after coming the first year I invited them and felt they had to run around town taking a quick peek here and there before running to the next venue. While we are on the subject why not adjudicate this event. Why is it the same artists and the same stuff every year…are you afraid to bring in a panel of qualified judges to weed out the riff raff or is it a small art club that incestuously accepts those with big fancy houses or an inside track on the local venues and the real artists get the shaft…It keeps getting harder to go to this event until one realizes there may be a little gem like Barry with her insanely original art tucked away among the seascapes and Mexican provincial town paintings that I swear are the same as the ones displayed the year before. Also how about someone come to your planning meeting and give the LM artists a lesson in pricing as this too is all over the board.
