Betsy's book is beautifully written and read. The book should be required reading for anyone in the health care profession in my opinion. All of us who have ever dealt with medical intervention will appreciate Betsy's compassionate perspective. I highly recommend attending this event.

This is a free event. Contribution to Casa Luz welcome but not required. Betsy's book, In Awe of Being Human: A Doctor's Stories from the Edge of Life and Death, will be available for 200 pesos, signed by the author if desired.

In Awe of Being Human: A Doctor's Stories from the Edge of Life and Death, received the 2014 Independent Publisher Living Now Book Award, which is "designed to honor the year's best books that help readers attain healthier, more fulfilling and productive lives."
