Sorry Daniel, I was off line last night. I'm with you, I had to wear an extra layer last night out on the town, and I wasn't even on the beach with the breeze. We are such wimps!
All I can see regarding our chilliness yesterday is that I think the prevailing wind shifted around to come from the NW or W direction, eventually bringing some cooler air down from the Sea of Cortez. And it's possible that some of the winter air that was dragged down across central and Eastern Mexico by the latest cold front might have leaked over to us. Just my speculation!
I can't really see anything in my temperature numbers from yesterday. I would guess it was related to wind chill more than just temperature. It would only take a few degrees of wind chill to be quite noticeable out on the beach.
There might be some more of that today (see my other weather post this morning.)
One word: bonfire!
