The Lagoon is Open

That nasty smell is from lagoon water that is pouring into the sea right now.
The Ejido decided to lower the water level in order to facilitate construction to expand the crocodile pathway, including a new foot bridge inside the lagoon.
This is the first time we have seen this in the dry season!
They say the road will be put back on Friday.

I spoke with them about it on my way home, and frankly, they seemed a tad perturbed if not a bit afraid.

I just hope more rain comes to refill the manglar so the crocs have enough water to make it through the summer.
