I highly recommend Dra. Rosa Alcaraz. Her English is very good (she's married to a Canadian and spends part of every year there.)

Also, Dra. Maria Rubio, in Barra. She is both a General Practitioner and Cardiologist. Her office is to the left of Farmacia Rubio (across from the bus station) #232 Avenida Veracruz (main road into town). Phone #355-5412, she speaks and can write in English.
