Military Boats in the Bay

There have been three military boats in the bay this morning, a large one on the Boca side that appears to be anchored with a smaller launch associated with it and a 30 foot cruiser came through about 8:30 coming within 50 feet of the beach. This craft had an officer on the prow looking into the shallow water. None of these craft had deck mounted weapons so I assume they are not trying to interdict drug trade. I wondered if they were here to check on the baby sea turtles I saw yesterday. Any ideas?

Baby turtles would be good. Wish we could put our navy back home to such good use.

There were military personnel on the road at the entrance to Tamarindo when I came in from Melaque on the 9:45 bus.
