Tamarindo

Tamarindo is doing the Four Seasons construction. From what I know (reliable source) the name of the main company is Hotel Rios. It is going to be 5 years in construction and around 21 individual isolated rentals (not sure on the numbers, I took notes but I was mostly interested in how and how much they pay). From what I know (un substantiated) they were going to build a road from highway 200 to La Manzanilla, a back door of sorts for the construction traffic to bypass going through town. I actually have a CAD drawing of the road on my computer. But I guess they blew that off to save money and are running all of the construction equipment right down main street (in front of my office) and its not a minor event. Huge machines where they have a person on the front with a stick lifting phone and power lines so the equipment can clear. Lots and lots of cement trucks, dump trucks and on and on. It has made a marked difference in my life in the office with the noise and dust. At first they were watering down the road but that seems to have diminished to the point of not occurring at all. The most marked increase is the dust, my car doesn't stay clean for more than 3 hours. If they were listening to this post I would ask them to invest in having the existing dirt on the road completely removed, preferably by hand via broom and dust pan with ALL of the workers coming from the town. And to be a little more generous in general. As I said it is going to be interesting to see how the construction traffic blends in with the already nightmarish traffic that happens around the holidays. I think the after construction increase of persons visiting La Manzanilla from the Four Seasons project will be a boon for the local economy, even though the regular car traffic will be going in via the road off highway 200. I hope I have clarified things a bit.
