I have no data to back up my hypotheses but I think the rain this season has been at or above normal. Also it depends on the type of rain. We could get 20 inches of rain but if it was 5 events of 4 inches of pounding rain that would not be as good for the water table as 3 events of 3 inches of soft soaking rain (I made those stats up but I hope you can get what I am saying). All the data, including some excellent work by Bret (who compiled data for past averages) (God I miss his rain reporting) is all on either the present message board (for this year) or in the archives and is waiting for someone to compile the data since Bret stopped. Feel free anyone who has time and looking for something to do. To do that project put in the word rain in search box for the existing board, that will get you this years total so far. Next go to the archives and find the date that Bret stopped doing the reporting, I think it was 2015. Once you have his data you can go to the individual search for the archives since then and put in the word rain and start accumulating the data. (follow the search instructions at the top of the page) http://www.lamanzanilla.info/e_la_manzanilla_message_board.html Edit: I played around with the search on the archives, Google hasn't indexed very many pages since I submitted a slimmed down xml site map very recently. Best way to find results is go to the sitemap link then use Find (CTRL F) and put in the word rain, that should find every post. The last rain report I found for Bret was March 7, 2016, there may be a later one but he stopped right around there (I think) http://lamanzanilla.info/la_manzanilla_message_board/16-01-17_to_16-04-05/msg/1457363449.html
