In Sept of 2016, I had three vertebrae fused with titanium rods in my back. This was done in Colima. The total cost of all items, including MRI, pre-op care, hospital, surgery, post-op, etc, came to less than $12,000 USD. I have Kaiser in the states, but the soonest they would do surgery was five months later. I was immobile, popping opioids due to pain, etc. Fortunately I had the resources to have the surgery in Mexico.
I've had four other back surgeries in the US. The hospital, staff, surgeons and care equaled or exceeded the care in the US.
I won't hesitate to have future care here as needed.
