I appreciate Larry's comments. I would like to remind us allthat this "issue" is global as well. In some Australian cities, people are fined for washing their cars, unless they have their own well. There are things we can individually do , which I'm sure you know. Let me remind you: Don't run the water while brushing teeth or shaving. In the shower, wet down, turn off the flow, soap up, then rinse. Those without dishwashers can put a basin in the sink and then dump the grey water back out on the ground. I'm from B.C. and we use more water per capita than anyone else in North America! Just sayin'. PS: Also not naive ..I know this won't fix the immediate issue.
