The car is connected to someones ID, the registered owner. If the new car is registered to the other of you 2 ... should have no problems. I would also use a different credit card than that used before. I've also heard there is a way to show that the car has been removed with a notarized letter from someone up north (police maybe, bill of sale, new registration) but bring your old paperwork and sticker. Using a different person as owner sounds much easier |
