The NHC just issued a public advisory for the Mexican coastline from Puerto Angel to Manzanillo because rain bands from Sergio are starting to affect that area. This is kind of a good-news/bad-news report because the hurricane has been downgraded to a Cat. 1 and will probably be just a tropical storm again by tomorrow, but it's still moving north at 6 to 9 mph, which will continue for 12 to 24 hours before it starts to turn to the west. That would put it pretty close to the coast right about the time it goes past us this weekend. Keep a close watch on this one. |
