No fences out here at Boca. They have been seen out in the water as well. I wonder if fences would stop them?? I noticed that the camp ground has put up good fencing to stop them from getting onto their property. The children still play in the water where Poncho usually hangs out. ( Poncho is the name given to the local croc who has been there for years - at least 15 feet long). The new owners of the property at the end of the beach are also keeping out all other recreation vehicles. We used our beach bike to transport us, dog, chairs etc. to the beach. One has the use of a foot path now from the end of the road only. Wait until this new owner is over 70 and wants easy access to the beach and can't get it!! His golf carts won't cross the sand for him. (only golf carts are allowed at this new resort) Sadly we have to go almost back to the village to get beach access. Really a surprise for all of us out here. Everything is changing too fast here. |
