Hi, Carol: Thank you for your insightful response. I agree with you on all your points. Basically, the petition is written in the context of Mexican law and, rhetorically, with the idea aiming high to make our mark. In other words, ask for a one-story regulation, and we may get a three-story one. That beats a high rise hotel when you consider community and ecosystem impact. In regards to the "single family dwellings," they are the only structures that do not require an extensive environmental impact statement according to Mexican law. So, we´re working within those confines. I would certainly be interested in receiving input from you surrounding a sustainable plan that works realistically in a Mexican legal context, on which I could elaborate more later.
