Well we got to Puerto Vallarta and rented a beautiful room in the romantic district, tried to swim at the beach only to find out that beach is the site of much death and the water takes people. We were tumbled by the tide like rocks in a grinder. No signs that it was a killer beach, however we survived and met many incrediable artists and watched eighty year olds para sailing. Also the indigenous prayer walkers from Veracrus, inacting an ancient ritual to the sun and moon and I thought Sundancing was hard work!!! These handsome 5 young men, climbed fifty six steps up a pole and 4 of them sat out on opposites side of a wooden frame then tied a rope around their leg and swung slowly to the ground as their flags waved in the night air.The fifth one played a drum and whistle in the top of the pole way up high!!! This was on the board walk starting at evening tide. They completed the journey twice that evening. We could not leave the city it was so exciting. After four days we went looking for your village called Manzanilla???? We took a bus north to a place that we thought was your village, only to find that two places can have similar spellings and yet be five hours apart. Alas we were not to find your village and for that we are sad as my husband really wanted to show me the beauty of the place. Puerto Vallarta is a splendid city, that I compare with New York in vibrancy, and culture. The week flew by Greg got to swim with the Dolphins an experience he will never forget. I was kissed by a sea lion and have the pictures to prove it and the pelican came in for a low dive to watch. Oh Mexico viva your country and way of being. I definately want to become a citizen of your country. mexico is a holy place a sacred place. Our island is still reeling from the after math of that twister and I wonder if the herring will come this week. The boats are waiting. Would you believe we have three eagles, and I mean those big birds in our trees. It is incrediable to wake up to an eagle calling. Stilling waiting for Mike Skinner at Homeland Security to return my email. They are very rude people, just because they have big titles,it is still rude not to reply....waiting for a criminal record check to prove we are who we say we are. Definately be back next winter and look forward to walking your sandy beach,if we are not in Alteaora (New Zealand ) having an ice cream in Raglan. Mexico is a jewel not to be abused in any way Those frigging hotels on the beach should be demolished...eyesores,disgraceful eyesores. The ocean is for all to see and not the back arse of a condo!!!!!! Sheila on denman need a receipe for guamolie asta lego |
