Hi Clare, I have lived in your particular area before and know exactly what you are talking about. The way the canyon is shaped there it's like a funnel with the large end toward the Jardin and the small end pointed at your house. It was the primary reason Agda wanted to sell her home. Music, its volume and hours of play are like a constitutional right in Mexico, there is no one who will ask for it to be turned down or stopped at a certain hour. It may seem cruel of me to say but that is exactly the way I like it. Others freedom to do what they want means I get freedom too and freedom is one of the reasons I love Mexico. May I suggest that on the times that it is too much for you (which aren't that often) that you stay at a friends for a while? Any home that is on the north side of the ridge over town or that is back one ridge toward campo should work. When I show properties in that area I be sure to mention the occasional fiesta, there are some that avoid it and some it doesn't bother. Perhaps I could search for someone who wants to trade homes with you Hang in there! You do have one beautiful view! D |
