From the "research" aka reading on-line I've done it looks like Salud Jalisco sprayed in 2006 with something called Aquamist that has Resmethrin as it's active ingredient. From the reports I read there is/was some conflict because the Aquamist wasn't/isn't on the list of recommended pesticides. In some quarters they appear to be suggesting that spraying with Aquamist was ineffective for control of the dengue mosquito and contributed to the rise in incidents of dengue this past winter. I've no idea if that is true or not. The Puerto Vallarta Ayuntamiento site March 8, 2007 Here is a link to Agua-Reslin info in English From everything I have read Mexico officially stopped using DDT in 2000, two years in advance of the 2002 goal.
