Yes, it takes 3 weeks IF nothing else is needed by Immigration. When we renewed this past November (our 1st time renewing), we didn't end up getting our FM3's until February 5th....they kept asking for more things because our utilities aren't in our name and Telemex hasn't graced our street with a telephone pole yet. And after every delay, Immigration wanted the most current copies of our bank stmt's to show we were solvent!!! Of course this may be a rare scenario for most, but it was very frustrating all the same. Now we know what to do in the future, but the 1st time renewing I'd say to expect delays.....just in case. It is Mexico we're talking about here! |
