Thanks Casey for finding this article and folks need to read the entire link as the same thing on a smaller scale[for now] is happenning in La Manzanilla. The cement monsters on the beach are totally against Mexican law to say the least of the problems. The golf course of Tamarindo uses most of the towns water or limits it to having holding tanks----where does the residue of the chemicals used on all golf courses go??? and the irony of all this building on the entire coast is the vacancy of these high end hotels -houses so why build more? How about making supervised legal clean with toliets camping places for all who cannot afford high end? It was mind blowing to see the usual Easter crowds all trying to fit on the very few remaining spaces in their own country while the majority of lots and houses remained empty with Privado signs posted. |
