(Wasn't that the name of a movie? Sidney Poitier and a blind girl?? - help me out here, movie fans!). I can see a little blue this morning, but skies are still mostly overcast and weather reports are still calling for more rain along the central Pacific coast. A tropical wave (warm, moist air coming up from the equator) has been responsible for the past two days of rain - and although it's moved offshore, there's a lot of unsettled weather between us and the wave. CNA predicts that another wave will be just offshore on Sunday so we may be in for more rain then. The ITCZ (Intra-tropical Convergence Zone) is very far north this week, which is why tropical waves are affecting this part of the coast. . It usually hangs somewhere between 0 and 10 degrees latitude, but is showing at about 15 degrees this morning. Makes a big difference in our weather. The other prediction for this area is for gusty southeast winds today which may blow away the clouds and change everything. Let's hope! The rainfall last night Haven't heard much from anyone in El Norte lately - need some weather reports from all of you. |
