Fran you can't miss them if you are looking. There is one between Cihuatlan and Manzanillo called the "Hotel California" and they probably play Don Henley's music as you check in. Signage is VERY DISCREET but you alway see a big wall around the place and only one way to drive in and there usually is no office just a dark glass or mirror glass window with a slot where you pass thru your payment. Then someone comes out and directs you to a garage where you park and shut the garage door electronically and usual entrance to your room is thru the garage...no one knows, no one sees... There is a good one on the left side of the highway into Culiacan, Sin. and as you come into Mazatlan from the north you find the hotel Extacis on the right side of the road. These motels are always on the outskirts of town. Almost everyone I know who drives in Mexico with pets has stayed in one. Nothing but funny stories, security is very good and you are quite safe to stay in one. You just can never leave (once you're inside)...isn't that another line from the song; Hotel California-Eagles around 1975. Don |
