Just looked at the wunderground site and see that the area of unsettled weather down around Tehuantepec has been declared TD 11-E. The Mexican government has already issued storm warnings from Puerto Escondido up to Zihuantenejo and the current track takes it very close to the coast for the next three days . The 72 hr. coordinates given as 19N 105.5 W - very close to L.M. At that point, if the predictions are correct, it could be a Cat. 1 hurricane. Lots of things can happen between now and then but this is one to watch closely. The other interesting area is on the Atlantic side ("Invest 97") - current computer models show it coming all the way across the isthmus and into the Pacific in a few days. Verrry interesting..... Today was gorgeous - a little sun but very comfortable temps. No rain so far - maybe a little tonight though. More later...... |
