This has been a pretty nice day - low temps, a little rain (.25 in.) and very little wind. However, the 4 PM NHC update reports that Kiko continues on its way to becoming a hurricane sometime between now and 4 AM Sunday morning. It's still located slightly south of us at 18.5N/ 106W. At 4 AM it should be at 19.2N/ 107W - approx. the same latitude as L.M (we're at 19.1N/ 104.4W) and one degree further into the Pacific than it is now. If we're going to feel any effect from Kiko it will probably be tonight or in the early hours of the morning. After that, Kiko should be long gone from this area. We've seen some wave action today - nothing dramatic but that may change when the storm is directly offshore. Let's hope Kiko continues to be kind to us! |
