Fideicomiso

To the community at large:

As some of you may already know, I was at the monthly Ejido meeting to present La Catalina Educational Foundation’s building plans to the Ejidatarians when I found out that some friends of mine were presenting a grievance to the Ejido assembly concerning their property. I offered to present their case to the Ejido. As a result of the presentation, the Comisariado (Board of Directors) and the assembly unanimously requested that a group of gringos be formed with the objective of working with the Ejido, with me as a organizer, coordinator, translator, mediator and whatever other ‘ators’ as may be appropriate, to take the necessary steps to have their property in a bank trust (fideicomiso.)

By request of the gringos that went to the Ejido meeting to support our friends, I am providing an email address where people can send info if they are interested in joining this group to get ourselves organized and to explain the intricacies of the process we are attempting to start. So here it is: lamanz-trust@live.com.

Please send inquiries to this address and we’ll inform you of the progress in getting organized. I think it is important to get first hand information from the Ejido, agrarian attorneys, fideicomiso rules, etc if we want this effort to be successful. As there are still some misunderstandings, as judged by the thread posted at www.lamanzanilla.info message board, please, feel free to contact me for any clarifications I can provide.

Saludos,

Victor
