Hurricane Fausto

.....remains far offshore but is producing high
waves as it passes by. Fausto will be on the same
latitude as L.M. most of the day today so the Mexican weather service warning about elevated wave action for the next 24 hours sounds about right. They're also predicting rain for the "costas de Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and Baja". We may or may not get some rain today but it's looked like it was going to rain every day and all those beautiful cumulous clouds have produced is a total of less than a quarter inch of rain over the past 4 days. Another system with the potential to develop into a storm, south of Acapulco, is being watched by NHC but not doing much at this point.

A power outage that affected the whole town last night, maybe caused by a blown transformer, lasted for over an hour. Even an hour with no fans or a/c
at this time of the year (it was 87F/30.6C when
the power went out) makes you very thankful when it
comes back on. Kudos to the electric company!
