What I learned about La Manzanilla,is that alot,if not most of it,is filled in lagoon. I learned this from a person who has lived here all her life.
Maybe you should be more concerned about the heavy rains that wash out the roads, and possibly wash the houses off the hillsides, that will create flooding of the arroyo, downtown, etc.
Once again, people from up north need to myob,as Mexico does o.k.,without our "expertise".
And what is this 'I hope We can keep them(Mexicans)happy and healthy for the long term??
For gods sake you can't keep or make yourselves happy.
Do you really think the people want your help???
Give me a friggin break, you gotta live here to know how the locals feel about all the help you are so willing to shove down their throats, and make everything nice like in the u.s.or ca..
just my thought, and I am not far off, believe me..
