OK, this is a stretch for tired brains, but the two years that stick in my mind are:
In 1985, when we arrived in Nov we found the road up to our house covered by a massive mud slide. The entry to our palapa was also buried....this was waaay before we built the bigger house. Joe dug us out, and built a wall to protect the entry if it every happened again....a couple of years later we came back to find that wall had been pushed down into George's yard by yet another mud slide. I would have to check with Joe on the year of that one....pesky memory!

In 1993 it rained every day for the month of Jan. I have no idea of how much because it was "before Deanna"! But there was a bunch of water, Helga's place was an island for most of the month. The rodeo was canceled that year because of mud. Course, the arena was located where the casino is now...pretty low lying area.

Ya know, we used to have a pig roast every New Years eve....the 'way old' timers will remember that. And we could count on it raining every year as the pig was cooking. That has not happened in lots of years. I suppose if there are weather cycles, that serious rain will happen again....just hope that the guy who built above you has channeled his runoff well!
