Weather report....

The first real rain of the season (.47 today) also
produced a prolonged power outage - a regular occurence each year that everyone just accepts without question (??). We woke around 7 AM to gentle rain, no overhead fan, no luz and high humidity. Skies have
been gray and overcast with a light drizzle off and on all day.

The low pressure system producing this weather seems to be dissipating so it doesn't look like we'll get a lot more rain. Temperatures have been in the mid 70's all day - at 8:30 PM it's 77F/25C with 76% humidity. The air is cool, damp and not at all uncomfortable. It's probably just my imagination, but things are already looking greener - plus, I just heard a tree frog outside the window. Vive summer in La Manzanilla!
