| Living on the beach, my worst fears are big, storm driven surges and high winds. The computer models i'm looking at (10:30pm LaManz time) are not too scary. They are showing less than a 10% probability of Tropical Storm surface strength winds (39 mph)in our area. Closer to the center of the storm, a couple of hundred more miles off shore, Elida will be pushing bigger surges at us. The sooner she turns dead west the better off we will be. Then again, she may just thumb her nose at the computers and decide to go north, then the 50 mph predictors will be looking golden. The "Rock" will take over tomorrow afternoon/evening. |
