Help Our Kindergarten!!

Dear La Manzanilla Friends, Isaura (the lady who has organized our La Manzanilla kindergarten effort) has told me that our kindergarten's first priority and greatest need is childrens' toys, including puzzles with large pieces to assemble, colorful games, childrens' music CDs, small musical instruments (like drums, cassinets, tamborines, etc.), a whiteboard, paint, and crayons. They also need pages they can photocopy with interesting designs and shapes for children to color or paint. They prefer that the teaching materials are in Spanish, if possible. Unfortunately, the school has no computer, no internet services, no printer, and no telephone, so teaching materials are very difficult for them to come by. Perhaps before returning to La Manzanilla this season, we could all pitch in by shopping for coloring books and crayons, and check out some garage sales for small children's toys and puzzles that could be useful. If you are already in La Manzanilla at present, how about picking up some extra plants when you are at the nursery? The school really needs some beautification.
