My understanding of Mexican law, such that it is, is that only members of INM have the legal right to ask to see your Visa. No one else has that right. Have I shown my FM2 or 3 (copy) when asked? You bet. We were stopped just the other side of Cihuatlan by INM a little more than a week ago and, or course, our Visas were with INM in Guadalajara since we are getting FM2s. We are using an expediter who did not give us the letters of tramite, so we had nothing but copies of our FM3s. They hassled us and retired to discuss our fates for a few minutes, then said, next time get the tramite. Just to add to the stew.
