I talked to Mayor Gustavo this morning about the robbery. He says he shares our concerns and is aware of the need for more police protection La Manzanilla. He also says he's been calling the Secretario de Ayuntamiento in La Huerta since the home-invasion robbery to get local police support.

Gustavo says our best bet is to start an official petition, through the ejido office. All of us should sign it -- Mexicans, as well as expats. The more signatures we have, the better our chances of getting La Huerta to stop ignoring us and give us some police.

I don't make this stuff up, I just report it. But I'll definitely support a petition!
