Seems the last time this happened was July 2008. Sparks posted a Costa Prodiga article titled www.costaprodigaweb.com/Tenacatita.html - Podran ser renovados los proyectos hoteleros en Costa Alegre frenados por la presin social That article gave a great summary of the situation there but that link no longer works. I did a Google search for the Costa Prodiga Tenacatita article but did not find it. Back then I did a Google translation of that article in 2 parts Part 1 Part 2

Searching around I found a couple other articles which give the history of this situation.

Here is one from LaJornada - December 2006 titled www.jornada.unam.mx/2006/12/16/index.php.1790.html translate.google.com.mx/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.jornada.unam.mx/2006/12/16/index.php%3Fsection%3Dpolitica%26article%3D010n1pol&ei=PNdaTPSeCo2ksQP6otjoDQ&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=9&ved=0CEEQ7gEwCDgK&prev=/search%3Fq%3DTenacatita%2Bzona%2Bfederal%26start%3D10%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN - Translated version

Another from LaJornada - June 2008 titled A chingadazos, pero habr desalojo en Tenacatita, asegura Andrs Villalobos ....... Translated version

I have a feeling that the titled land will be excluded from the current action, that it may be a "take it all...then give some back" kind of strategy. Suffice it to say Tenacatita seems to be a difficult place to do real estate and as far as I know has nothing to do with La Manzanilla.
