The river near Tenacatita would be the likely site of a well like ours. The "cone of depression" around a well is as large as the draw of water needed to replenish the vacuum created by the pumpimg action. Some aquifers are seperated by a hard impermiable rock barrier, but the distance is the answer for us. Tenacatita is too far away to influence us and in a different source stream area, they would draw sea water before they could get too far from home. But Rebalsito's water would get a big hit and would be ruined by any golf course use let alone a resort. Carol is correct about Orange County. And small systems are not too expensive. But the cost of building a system to supply a 3,000 population town with some room for growth I will need to research. |
