I am losing faith in Google News, I got this link from a Tenacatita twitter post.

Twitter posters have a limited number of characters per tweet so they use a service to shorten the URL (uniform resource locator...i.e. web address) of the article they are linking to. One such service is called TinyURL

For example, here is the link to a CNN story

http://mexico.cnn.com/nacional/2010/08/21/una-gran-reserva-ecologica-peligra-por-la-construccion-de-un-complejo?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+cnnmexico%2Fportada+%28Noticias%29

If a tweet were linking to this article I would know it was from CNN because I can see CNN in the first part of the URL. If they use TinyURL to shorten the link it ends up looking like this http://bit.ly/cLHy4q. Which lacks any indication of where the link leads. Now the only way I can find out what they are linking to is to click the link, that diminishes the value of Twitter as a source for new links, especially considering that many people will tweet a link to the same article.
