...has now formed and is on track to parallel the Mexican coast for the next 4 days. Lots of things could happen before Frank reaches this latitude but August is when storms are likely to hold together and make it all the way up to La Manzanilla. Take a look on the Wunderground site at the History graphic - there are several who have passed close by as Cat. 2 or 3 hurricanes in August: http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/ep201009.public.html#a_topad Sooo - that was an impressive hour or so of rain, thunder (ka-boom! - si, Vicky??) and lightning - .55/in. of rain in less than an hour. Very dark, scary and wonderful!! I don't think this is the last rain we'll see today. And we still have electricity....amazing. |
